HCVF Television is the North of Scotland's leading production and facilities house, offering the widest range of media and corporate communications applications for broadcast news gathering, documentaries and television advertising.
For over a quarter of a century, HCVF have undertaken the widest spectrum of corporate productions, including Health & Safety, Tourism, Agriculture, Education, Training, Engineering, Distilling, Charities and North Sea Oil. HCVF have worked for major TV networks, such as BBC, ITV, Scottish Television, SKY, Setanta and Discovery Channel.
HCVF's new media complex at 31-33 Wells Street Inverness, houses the most up-to-date video studio and one-stop facilities house in the Highlands of Scotland. The complex includes two AVID edit suites and a fully sound-proofed broadcast studio, equipped for HD broadcast recording and Webcasting applications.
The Wells Street Studios houses two well equipped edit suites with Avid Media Composer Adrenaline Version 2.7- uncompressed video capture to ensure lossless images - capturing from XD-CAM HD and Digital Betacam.
The AVID edit systems are mounted on high-end HP workstations with XP Pro, 3 terabytes of hard-disk space, Sorensen Squeeze for MPEG encoding, Boris Red FX, a 3D compositing, titling and effects application for non-linear Editing systems and networked to dedicated workstations for 3D modelling and animation.
The systems can be hired with an Avid editor and/or graphic artist.

After 26 years of providing audio-visual solutions for clients in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, as well as many clients outwith the local area, HCVF has amassed enormous experience in every aspect of media production. Recent clients have included Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Qinetiq, Diageo, LifeScan Scotland, Northern Constabulary, Fire & Rescue Service, Robertson Highland and the University of The Highlands and Islands.
HCVF supply crews to national and international television companies, and have been involved in a wide variety of documentaries such as "Healthy Holidays" for the Wellbeing Channel, "A Day with the RAF Nimrods" for Discovery Channel, "Medics of the Glen" for Scottish Television, and news and sport coverage for BBC, Sky, ITV and Setanta Sports. HCVF produced "The Big Beat" for ITV- a series of six thirty minute programmes, featuring the Northern Constabulary.
